The Knowle Country House restaurant a great venue for weddings in kent

The Knowle was Built in 1840 by the rector of Higham, a great friend of Charles Dickens who became a frequent visitor.

Set in 14 acres of orchards and old English gardens it is the home of Lyn and Michael Baragwanath who decided to turn their house into a restaurant in 1980 and still reside on the premises.

Many of the staff, including the Head Chef, Pamela Davidson, whose ability and experience are unsurpassed and Kerry Minns the General Manager have been with us since the first day of opening in 1980. Carol Mills coordinates all wedings, oversees and assists in running most aspects of the business and has been directly involved for the past 21 years.
